Dr. Zakariah Mikos, O.D. is a dedicated optometrist, having received his Doctorate of Optometry, Cum Laude, from the Illinois College of Optometry in 2026. With extensive clinical experience spanning diverse settings across the country, he has a deep connection to patientfocused, evidence-based care and community values.
Dr. Mikos completed his undergraduate studies at Augustana College, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Biology with a minor in Psychology, graduating Summa Cum Laude. This unique combination of fields has provided him with a distinctive perspective on patient behavior and holistic visual health communication, enriching his practice and patient interactions
Following specialized clinical externships at institutions such as the Providence Rhode Island VA and the Illinois Eye Institute, Dr. Mikos has been committed to providing comprehensive eye care with a focus on advanced disease management and innovative eye health strategies.
