Low vision Therapy in munster,Indiana

Ophthalmologist holding a model of a human eyeball — Munster, IN — Munster Eye Care Associates

What is Low vision?

Low vision refers to permanent vision loss that cannot be improved with surgical treatment or glasses/contacts. Vision loss may result from a variety of conditions - systemic or ocular (see below). Both visually impaired (moderate decreased vision) and legally blind patients may benefit from this service.

A specifically trained low vision optometrist may enhance the remaining vision and thus improve quality of life. This gives patients the ability to gain back some independence and the ability to continue activities of daily living.

Our clinic offers individualized comprehensive examinations for low vision patients. This includes recommendations for manual and electronic devices, light sensitivity tints, training in using functional (remaining vision), and much more.
